INTRODUCTION
In response to the call on the organized private sector
to participate in the Housing for All programme of the Federal
Government of Nigeria as a solution to the acute housing crisis
in Nigeria, DN Meyer Plc through its subsidiary “Meyer
Décor” embarked on the construction of 50-3bedrooms
bungalows at Obada-oko, Ogun State for the Federal Housing
Authority.
This project, which started in December 2006 was practically completed in 100
days and this endeared us to the stakeholders in the Housing Industry.
Leveraging
on this, DN Meyer Plc under the public & private sector
partnership is embarking on another 100 days landmark project
in Kuje, FCT-Abuja named KUJE HOUSING ESTATE. The Estate
seeks to provide 93 Housing units of varying standard to
be offered for sale to prospective home buyers.
LOCATION
This
project designed to be implemented on a 7.4 acre parcel of
land within the Federal Government Reserved Area - 10 kilometers,
and is approximately 7 minutes drive from the Abuja Airport
Road. Presently the area has good access roads within and
around the development and it is presently sharing borders
with Ogbeh Farms and other private residences.
THE
DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The
Estate has been laid out to provide 93 housing units which
form the subject matter of this project. It will consist
of:
· 35
units of 2(two) bedroom terrace bungalows with 2 Toilets & 1
bathroom each on 83.22m2 of built up area and 228m2 plot
size.
· 23 units of 3(three) bedroom detached bungalows with 2 toilets & 2
bathrooms each on 89.79m2 of built up area and 648m2 plot size.
The
following will also be provided:
§ Tarmac
surfaced estate roads with storm and waste water drainage
§ Electricity supply from PHCN Chains Distribution to the houses with provision
for street lighting
§ Water supply from borehole and reticulated to the houses
§ Refuse dump evacuation area
§ Post development maintenance and management services for common facilities
TITLE
Title
to be granted to the purchasers would be Federal Government
Lease of 99 years effective from date of purchase with
the consent of the FCT Minister in favour of the beneficiaries.
