Jabez Dayo Lawuyi, MON (Chairman)

Mr. Lawuyi joined the Board of DN Meyer Plc in July, 1994 and was appointed as the Chairman in July 1999. He is the incumbent Chairman of Dunlop Group in Nigeria.

He was Finance Director in Hagemeyer Nigeria Plc

between 1980 and 1986 before joining Dunlop Nigeria Plc as an Executive Director for the Consumer and Industrial Division of Dunlop, and later became the Managing Director in 1991 and the Group Managing Director in 1998. He resigned his appointment as the Group Managing Director in August 2005.

Before his appointment at Hagemeyer Nigeria Plc, he had accounting and consultancy experiences at Berger Paints, Michelin and Coopers & Lybrands respectively.

Mr. Lawuyi is a fellow of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, as well as a member of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria.

Currently, Mr. Lawuyi is the President of Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), the Lagos Business School Alumni and the Business Club, Ikeja. He is also a member of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group and an alumnus of the Irish Management Institute.

Mr. Lawuyi was born on 6th August, 1950. He is married with children.
